One of a series of paintings of workers at Falmouth Docks, Cornwall.
Castle Drive allows the public to view the daily workings of Falmouth Docks from up high and I loved how the bird's eye view flattened the objects and machinery of the docks into pattern and shape. This chap was one of the hosemen who cleaned down the dry-docks between the ship repair jobs. A incarnation of him appears in another painting, "The Wood between the Worlds".
